I’m Selene Giari, a photographer and visual artist.
I was born in 1999 in Sona, a small town in the countryside between Verona and Lake Garda.
Since high school, I have pursued artistic studies, which led me immediately after graduation to work alongside photographer Enrico Fedrigoli in his studio.
There, I learned to work with the large format camera and to master the process of developing and printing in darkroom.
In 2021 I moved to Milan, where I graduated from Istituto Italiano di Fotografia.
Here I had the opportunity to participate in my first collective exhibition titled Paesaggi di luoghi senza volto, hosted at Villa Pomini, in Castellanza, to which I contributed with my project Nowhere.
Currently, I am furthering my studies in New Languages of Visual Comunication at Bauer,
in Milan.
